COMMISSIONS
 

Steph  creates fine art canine and wildlife portraits. She only uses the best materials.  Using quality coloured pencils (Faber Castell Polychromos, Caran d’Ache Luminance and Derwent Lightfast) and archival paper (Fabriano Artistico and Strathmore) she strives to produce a close representation of the subject.  Many hours are spent on making the art work come alive.

Each drawing is presented either unmounted or mounted (ready to frame).  Steph offers a number of different sizes. Please see the Size and Price List below.

The Steps

To commission an artwork please follow these simple steps:

 

 

Photos :

​

Choose your photo. The better the photo, the better the portrait. Send as many photos as you can.

Please take a look at the following photo guide tips which you may​ find helpful.

Photo Tips:
 

  • Quality:           Photo must be sharp and in focus

  • ​Lighting:         Please take your subjects’s photo in natural light                                      (avoiding using flash).

  • ​Level:                Take the photo at eye level with your subject.  The best                            photos are with your subject looking straight at you                                or with a slight tilt or turn of head.

  • Eye Colour:    Does the picture show the true eye colour?

  • Fur:                  Does the photo show the fur in detail and true fur                                      colour?

  • Personality:    Does the photo show the subjects personality? 

  • Patience:         Photos sometimes take time and patience to get the                                  desired image.   

Size : 

Choose your size from my price list.  I offer a number of different sizes.  All prices are for a head and neck portrait.  These prices are based on paper size.  The portrait will be a good size within the paper area.​

 

Contact Me :

Once you have decided upon your photos and size of portrait please contact me with your requirements, and attach your photos in your email.

 

Please note, I usually have a waiting list but I will confirm the approximate time scale upon your enquiry.

 

Payment :

Once I have seen your photos and we have discussed your portrait you are ready to place your order.  A £25 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking. The remaining balance is due on completion of the portrait when you are completely satisfied with the drawing.

Shipping :

Your artwork will then be packaged and shipped out to you.  UK shipping and packaging charges are included in the price of the artwork.  For international shipping please contact me by email or the Contact Page.  Please be aware that import taxes maybe payable upon delivery in some countries. Unfortunately at this time we are not able to ship to Europe or Northern Ireland.
